Don’t Miss Your Deadline to Appeal Your Real Estate Tax Assessment

Janet M. Nesse

Every year one-third of properties in Maryland are re-assessed.  The notices were sent out in December and you have 45 days to appeal the assessment.  With COVID having been, and continuing to be active, values require particular scrutiny.  The income producing properties may be very overvalued due to prior performance.  Eccentric sales data due to limited real estate inventory may also have resulted in an over valuation.

Pay attention and determine whether this valuation is something that should be appealed to save money for the next three years.  Contact our Maryland Real Estate Tax Attorney, Robert J. Kim, to discuss your real estate tax assessment.
