McNamee Hosea has an immediate opening in its Greenbelt office for an exceptional full-time Bankruptcy Paralegal.  This position will support members of the firm’s bankruptcy practice focused on the representation of debtors and creditors in chapter 7, 13, and 11 bankruptcy cases in Maryland, DC and Virginia.

Successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Basic understanding of the fundamentals of Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcies
  • Must be knowledgeable of bankruptcy law and foreclosure proceedings
  • Experience with e-filing cases
  • Must be proficient with basic accounting
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Must possess the ability to work independently but also be a team player
  • Must possess excellent communications skills
  • Must provide exceptional customer service
  • Must be detail oriented and highly organized
  • Must be proactive
  • At least 3-5 years experience in a paralegal role
  • Experience with PACER and Bestcase
  • College degree and/or paralegal certificate is required.
