Suited for Change Clothing Drive

In celebration of Women's Equality Day, McNamee Hosea's Diversity and Inclusion Committee organized and initiated a firm-wide clothing drive. Throughout the entire month of August our very own staff and attorneys donated gently used professional women's clothing.

All of the items were dry cleaned and delivered to Suited for Change, a Washington D.C. based organization that has been providing services since 1992, assisting more than 29,000 local women. They provide professional attire, coaching, and skills training to women in need who are seeking employment. Their network of referral partners includes job training and workforce development programs, transitional housing programs and halfway houses, shelters, and other programs serving domestic violence survivors, local and state government agencies, and faith-based organizations. All Suited for Change services are available at no cost.

As a firm we were able to collect more than three hundred articles of clothing and shoes. The results of our drive far exceeded our expectations. We are ecstatic that we were able to lend a helping hand by providing items that will be of huge assistance to women in the Washington DC Metropolitan area.
