2024 Holiday Sharing

Each year, McNamee Hosea prides itself in giving back to our communities and ensuring families in the area have a memorable holiday season. This is executed by providing local families with baskets of traditional foods to prepare for Thanksgiving as well as a gift card to purchase a turkey at their nearest grocery store. Additionally, the firm makes monetary donations to local entities as well as purchases, wraps, and delivers gifts for children in our neighboring communities during Christmas!

This year for Thanksgiving, the firm collectively donated twenty baskets to participants at the Annapolis Lighthouse Shelter, Anne Arundel County Department of Social Services, and Prince George's Child Resource Center (PGCRC). Furthermore, we provided five local seniors with grocery gift cards to purchase Thanksgiving meals. Finally, the firm made a monetary contribution to the Anne Arundel County Bar Association for their "Thanksgiving Dinner Donation" which provided meals for families living below the poverty line in Anne Arundel County.

During Christmas, the firm sponsored fifteen children from Prince George’s and Anne Arundel County through programs organized by the Prince George’s Child Resource Center, The Anne Arundel County Department of Social Services, and The Salvation Army Angel Tree. Each child received wrapped gifts which included both toys as well as clothing from their provided "Wish Lists". Senior participants of the Anne Arundel County Department of Social Services also received a gift card to their grocery store of choice to purchase food for a yummy Christmas dinner.

Attorneys and staff collected new or gently used coats for the "One Warm Coat Drive" which were delivered to Berwyn Heights Elementary School. Furthermore, the firm participated in the Annapolis Lighthouse Shelter's "Share the Warmth Drive," in which they purchased and delivered hats, waterproof gloves, and socks for participants of the shelter. Moreover, the firm donated an artificial tree and stockings to the Chrysalis House, a facility located in Crownsville that aims to transform the lives of women and children by providing comprehensive recovery programs and services that support the development of their inherent strengths, talents, and potentials.

Finally, the firm made a monetary donation to the Anne Arundel County Bar Association's "Angel Tree Program," which is co-sponsored by the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County and the Office of the Clerk of the Court. During the weeks leading up to Christmas, the AABA invites members to select an Angel Tree Card bearing the name, age, and size of a local child in need. The members then provide wrapped gifts containing new toys and clothes, which are delivered to the child's family one week before Christmas.
