Milton D. Jernigan, II was one of the founding organizers and served as the chairman of the board of directors for CommerceFirst Bancorp, Inc., a Maryland commercial bank holding company. He was also the chairman of the board of its subsidiary CommerceFirst Bank, a Federal Reserve Maryland commercial bank, until the bank was acquired by Sandy Spring Bank in 2012. 

Mr. Jernigan was also one of the founding organizers and members of the board of directors of Commerce Bank in College Park, Maryland, which was formed and opened in 1989 and later purchased by BB&T Bank. He has an intricate understanding of the banking industry and works proactively to preserve our clients' financial interests.
