We are pleased to announce the addition of Jennifer M. Alexander as a Principal and Kelly S. Kylis as an Associate to the firm.



Ms. Alexander has nearly 20 years’ experience as a criminal and civil trial attorney.  She has tried hundreds of cases in both state and federal courts, including more than 80 jury trials. Ms. Alexander was an Assistant State’s Attorney for six years at the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office, as a member of the Violent Crimes Trial Team. In addition to her criminal defense work, Jennifer also defends local, national and global retailers and businesses in state, federal and appellate courts. She has argued on behalf of her clients before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals and Maryland Court of Appeals.

Ms. Alexander is frequently asked to present at law enforcement seminars and conferences across Maryland on various criminal law matters.  She has been an instructor at the University of Maryland DUI Institute since 2004.

Ms. Alexander graduated Cum Laude from Notre Dame of Maryland University (B.A. 1998) and from the University of Maryland School of Law (J.D. 2001). During law school, Jennifer was elected as an executive board member of the Moot Court Board. Ms. Alexander is now a board member of the James C. Cawood Jr. American Inns of Court and the Crofton Athletic Council.

Ms. Alexander focuses her trial practice in the areas of civil defense and criminal defense throughout the State of Maryland and in federal courts. Jennifer will maintain an office at the Firm’s Annapolis location, as well as the Greenbelt location to best service her clients throughout Maryland.


Ms. Kylis practices primarily in the area of general civil litigation, including personal injury defense, environmental, and commercial litigation. She represents individuals and businesses in a variety of litigation matters, such as business disputes, property disputes, breach of contract, and premises liability.  

Kelly graduated Cum Laude from the University of Maryland, College Park (B.A. 2009), and Cum Laude from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law (J.D. 2013).  While in law school, she served as an Associate Editor of the Catholic University Law Review. 

Prior to joining McNamee Hosea, Kelly was an Associate at Brassel Alexander. She also completed a two-year judicial clerkship with the Honorable Clayton Greene, Jr., of the Court of Appeals of Maryland.

Kelly is admitted to the Maryland State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland. She is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association, the Anne Arundel County Bar Association and the Women’s Bar Association of Maryland. She has been selected by Super Lawyers as a Maryland Rising Star for 2018 and 2019.
