McNamee Hosea Celebrates the Judicial Appointment of Jennifer M. Alexander to the Anne Arundel District Court
McNamee Hosea proudly announces the Judicial Appointment of Jennifer M. Alexander to the District Court of Maryland for Anne Arundel County.
Ms. Alexander graduated Cum Laude from Notre Dame of Maryland University (B.A. 1998) and from the University of Maryland School of Law (J.D. 2001). She began her career as a trial lawyer in the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney's Office, where she was an Assistant State’s Attorney for six years. While a prosecutor, she was on the felony Violent Crimes Trial Team and regularly prosecuted high-profile violent crimes frequently reported by local, regional, and statewide news outlets.
Jennifer joined McNamee Hosea as a Principal in 2019, focusing her trial practice in the areas of civil defense and criminal defense throughout the State of Maryland and in federal courts. She has extensive experience defending businesses, retailers, and insurance companies throughout the state. She frequently argues cases involving issues of liability, insurance payments, and personal injury.
Gov. Wes Moore made one appointment to the Anne Arundel Circuit Court and one to the Anne Arundel District Court to replace two retiring judges, his office announced earlier this month. Judge-designee Ginina Alexandra Jackson-Stevenson will fill Glenn L. Klavans’ role on the circuit court while Jennifer Michelle Alexander will replace John P. McKenna Jr. on the district court. “Anne Arundel County has gained two exceptional legal minds who will undoubtedly make meaningful and lasting impacts in the county and the State of Maryland,” Moore said in a statement.
"While Jennifer’s energy, passion and legal mind made her a partner who is truly irreplaceable, I know that those same attributes will make her an invaluable addition to the bench," said Garth Beall, Managing Partner.
Jennifer will be sincerely missed both as a partner and colleague at McNamee Hosea. The firm wishes her the most sincere congratulations as she takes on her next endeavor.
