A Baltimorean with a love for crabs and home-brews, Jonathan brings a passionate and energetic personality to the firm. His primary areas of practice include civil litigation and construction law with a focus on contract disputes, title insurance defense and administrative law. With extensive experience in Construction Law, Mr. Novak is able to proactively navigate the issues involved in complex construction disputes, and litigation matters. He also has experience handling multiple title insurance defense matters, representing mortgage services and mortgage lenders in real estate and title claims litigation. In addition, Mr. Novak represents public entities, including States, Cities, Counties and Native American Tribes in relation to opioid litigation.
Prior to his work in construction law and insurance defense, Mr. Novak worked for the U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration and is versed in Federal Administrative Law, as well as Government representation during federal litigation surrounding controlled substance regulation, policy and compliance. Jonathan was recently featured on '60 Minutes' discussing the slow-down of DEA enforcement and the influence of pharmaceutical companies over agency investigations and prosecutions.
