L. Paul Jackson II

L. Paul Jackson, II is an associate at the law firm of McNamee, Hosea, Jernigan, Kim, Greenan & Lynch, P. A. Paul was admitted to practice law in Maryland in 2010 and is a member of the Maryland State Bar Association. He will be practicing in the firm's civil & corporate litigation practice group.

Paul graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1999 where he received his B.S. from the College of Health and Human Performance. He attended Maryland on an athletic scholarship and played football for the Terps from 1994-98 and started as a Safety in 1997-98. In high school, at Bishop McNamara in Forestville, Md., Paul received numerous athletic awards. He was selected to the 1993 Washington Post All-Met football team and George Michael's Golden 11 Team to name a few. While at Maryland Paul was on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll and served on the Student-Athlete Council from 1997-99.

After Maryland, Paul entered into the financial service industry and was a licensed Series 7 stock broker for Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. from 2000-08. At Schwab, Paul provided investment advice and asset allocation solutions to current and prospective individual investors and small businesses. Paul worked with clients who on average held over a half million dollars in investable assets with Charles Schwab. In 2006, while working at Charles Schwab, Paul embarked on his legal journey when he was accepted into the University of Baltimore School of Law's evening program. In 2008, Paul left Charles Schwab to focus on law school and began working at the Law Offices of Foran & Foran, P.A.

While attending law school Paul was a Rule 16 Student-Attorney for the school's Tax Clinic. In the tax clinic he represented individuals and small businesses with their tax disputes with the IRS. Paul also interned in the legal department of Under Armour, Inc. At Under Armour, Paul was able to work on corporate governance and intellectual property issues and was able to view and assist the company on its manufacturing and licensing agreements.

Upon graduating from law school, Paul began a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Sean D. Wallace in the Circuit Court for Prince George's County, Maryland.
